Every door is made to your measurements at our factory in Sunderland. You buy directly from the people who build it, which is why the numbers below are lower than you may have seen elsewhere.

How your door gets fitted is a large factor here. Choose supply-only, and you or your tradesperson fits it anywhere in the UK. Choose supply and fit, and our own installers handle it within roughly 50 miles of Sunderland.

We manufacture your door, and you collect it or we deliver it anywhere in the UK. You fit it yourself with our step-by-step installation guide, or your own tradesperson fits it in a few hours. This is the lowest total cost route, and it is how trade buyers have bought from us for years. A single garage door on this route costs from £471.50 ex VAT plus delivery.

Within roughly 50 miles of Sunderland, our own installers fit the door. We survey the opening, confirm your measurements, and handle everything. You pay more, and in exchange you never touch a drill.
Which route suits you comes down to a simple trade. If you have more time than budget, the DIY pack saves you several hundred pounds and a competent DIYer can fit one in half a day. If you have more budget than time, fitted means the door is measured, installed, and tested without you lifting anything heavier than a kettle.
These are our domestic roller doors, built for anything from a single garage to a full double width.
Every door uses insulated aluminium slats, so heat stays in and noise stays out. Choose from four standard colours or order a shade to match your house. Pick 55mm or 77mm below and see exact prices for your size.
The 55mm profile suits standard single garage openings. The slats are double-skinned aluminium with an insulated foam core, and the door runs on an electric motor as standard. This is not a budget compromise. For a standard opening, 55mm is the correctly specified door.
Every 55mm door includes:
All prices ex VAT and delivery.
If your opening is wider than 2438mm, you need the 77mm profile below. That is a structural requirement, not an upsell. A wider curtain needs a deeper slat to stay rigid across the span.

The 77mm profile covers everything from large singles to full double garages up to 4420mm wide. Deeper slats mean more rigidity across wide openings and a heavier, more solid feel.
Every 77mm door includes:
Prices below are for doors with full box covers.
All prices ex VAT and delivery.
Your opening will not match these sizes exactly. That is fine. Every door is made to your precise measurements, and you pay the price for the size band your opening falls into. Enter your measurements in the door builder for an exact figure.

No hidden extras revealed at survey stage. Every price below is the real one, not an estimate that changes once you're on the phone.
All extras are priced ex VAT. Add them in the door builder and your total updates as you go.Compare that against national installers, whose advertised "from £895" price regularly becomes £1,400 to £1,600 once the quote lands. Here, the number you see is the number you pay.

For shopfronts, warehouses, factories, loading bays, agricultural buildings, and general storage. Two lath thicknesses cover every commercial and industrial opening.
Two lath thicknesses cover every commercial and industrial opening: 75mm and 95mm. They’re not interchangeable options for the same job, each suits a different building.
75mm, single-skin galvanised steel. Not insulated. The right choice when security and weatherproofing matter more than holding heat in, a shopfront, a loading bay, an agricultural building, general storage. Prices start from £363.40 ex VAT.
95mm, insulated double-skin. Two layers of steel around an insulated core. This is the one for a heated workshop, a cold store, or anywhere the temperature inside genuinely matters. Prices start from £540.50 ex VAT.
| Shutter type | Price ex VAT |
|---|---|
| 75mm, single-skin galvanised steel | From £363.40 |
| 95mm, insulated double-skin | From £540.50 |
Every shutter includes manual override, safety brake, and key switch operation. Motor spec is matched to your opening, a 240v tubular motor as standard, moving up to three-phase for larger or high-cycle doors.
Not sure which one fits your building? If your opening faces a public street, a shop, restaurant, or office premises, our commercial shutters page covers curtain types, colour matching, and compliance in full. If it’s a warehouse, factory, or loading bay, the industrial shutters page covers the heavier specification for high-cycle and large-span openings. Need a fire-rated shutter instead? See our fire shutters page.

Six things move the number, and most of them are in your control. Here's exactly what changes your price, and what doesn't.
Six things move the number. In order of impact:
Size. The single biggest factor. Price scales with the curtain area, because that is where the material is.
Profile. 55mm covers standard singles. 77mm is required over 2438mm wide. If a company quotes you a premium profile for a standard single opening, ask why.
Installation. Fitting adds labour cost. The DIY pack removes it entirely.
Colour and finish. Four standard colours cost nothing extra on 55mm doors. Woodgrain finishes carry the highest finish premium.
Operation extras. Remotes, safety edges, and photocells are useful but optional. The door works without them.
Who you buy from. A national franchise price includes the franchisee’s margin, the head office margin, and the marketing budget that paid for the advert you saw. A manufacturer-direct price includes none of those.

A made-to-measure insulated roller garage door costs from £471.50 ex VAT for a standard single garage on a supply-only basis, and from £724.50 ex VAT for larger openings needing the 77mm profile. Fitted prices depend on location. Companies advertising “from £895 fitted” typically quote £1,400 or more once extras are included.
All our roller doors are electric as standard, so the prices above are electric garage door prices. There is no manual version priced lower and no motor upcharge hidden in the quote.
We manufacture the doors ourselves in Sunderland and sell directly. There is no franchisee margin, no middleman, and no national advertising budget built into the price. The door is comparable; the supply chain is shorter.
No. All prices on this page exclude VAT, which is added at 20%. We show prices ex VAT because a large share of our customers are trade and commercial buyers who reclaim it.
No. Delivery is priced separately and shown in the door builder once you enter your postcode. Collection from our Sunderland factory is free.
No. The 55mm profile is the correct specification for standard single openings. The 77mm profile exists because openings over 2438mm need a deeper slat for rigidity. Paying for 77mm on a standard single buys you nothing you need.
Commercial galvanised steel shutters start from £363.40 ex VAT for small openings. Price scales with the opening size. Call 0191 691 7810 with your sizes for a same-day figure.
