Common problems we fix
We manufacture and fit roller doors ourselves, so when something goes wrong our engineers already know exactly how it's built.
What's actually wrong with your door?
- Door won't open or close Usually a motor fault, a power issue, or the limit settings have drifted. We can diagnose this over the phone in some cases, or send an engineer to check the unit.
- Door is noisy or grinding Often a sign the guide rails need cleaning and lubricating, or that the curtain has come slightly out of alignment. Left unattended this tends to get worse rather than better.
- Door is stuck partway Usually an obstruction in the guide rail, a misaligned safety sensor, or in some cases a damaged slat catching as it rolls.
- Slats are dented or damaged Slats can be replaced individually rather than needing a full curtain replacement, provided the profile matches.
- Remote or control unit not responding Could be a battery, a wiring fault, or the receiver unit itself. Often a quick fix once we know which.

It depends on the fault. Common issues like a sensor realignment or slat replacement are usually quick and inexpensive, while a motor replacement costs more. Call us for an honest assessment before any work goes ahead.
Simple things like cleaning debris from the guide rails or checking the power supply are safe to check yourself. Anything involving the motor, springs, or electrics should be left to a professional, both for safety and to avoid invalidating any warranty.
This is almost always a motor or power issue rather than something mechanical. Check the power supply first, then call us if that’s not it.
Yes. We offer scheduled servicing as well as repairs on demand. Call us to discuss what makes sense for your door and how often it’s used.
